Northland Vegetation Control (NVC) is family-owned weed spraying and tree planting business based in Ruatangata- Northland. Since 2018 it has been owned and operated by Chance and Rochelle Campbell. Chance and Rochelle live at Ruatangata with their 3 children - Mackenzie, Finn and Marlow.
Northland Vegetation Control services the Northland area from Wellsford to Cape Reinga and further afield when required. We specialise in Agricultural, Lifestyle, Forestry and General weed spraying.
Chance and Rochelle have been working to develop a more diverse market over the past 5 years integrating poplar pole planting and native planting into the winter and autumn months as well as the usual spray programs. We also prune poplars and release and manage native planting sites throughout the year..

Our Roles ...
​Chance oversees the overall operations of Northland Vegetation Control, bringing a deep knowledge of weeds and Northland's unique growing environment and conditions. While he rarely operates the boom sprayer these days as the team continues to grow, Chance stays busy keeping the vehicles running smoothly, providing quotes, and coordinating work to ensure everything runs seamlessly. As the man behind the phone and the dreamer of many big ideas, Chance combines his expertise with a vision to drive Northland Vegetation Control forward.

Trale, Chance's brother, manages all aspects of planting and native tree sites, overseeing the planting, spraying, and ongoing management of these areas each year. He works closely with clients to develop comprehensive site preparation, planting, and management plans, while also advancing data collection systems using Excel spreadsheets and Avenza GPS mapping. Over the past few years, Trale's role has expanded significantly, and his blend of technological expertise and in-depth spraying knowledge has allowed him to excel and thrive and build great relationships in this position.

​Rochelle handles the administration side of the business, including accounts, payroll, Health and Safety, HR, daily worklists, and email correspondence. She enjoys the flexibility of managing the company while keeping up with three children and is usually available in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and some Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For any administrative or accounts inquiries, don’t hesitate to reach out via email.

Northland Vegetation Control has grown exponentially over the past 5years, and we continue to be proud of our achievements and work hard to provide a quality service in all aspects of our business. We pride ourselves on doing a good job - being customer focused, punctual, and knowledgeable. We are very proud to have also won the ACC workplace safety award at the 2023 Northland Business Excellence awards.
Northland Vegetation Control has a large client base and services Local Councils, Landcorp Farming, Department of Conservation, North Power, Famers, Lifestyle blocks and everything in between.
